You give Islam special protections for the same reasons Islam asks for them; it is too weak to stand up on its merits and needs to be protected. If it can't make it on a level playing field it needs to evolve or wither away.

Until the Islamic "enlightenment" occurs the only viable solution is avoidance of Islam. If your country needs immigrants find then from countries w/ similar (or better) values than your society. It's a fertility & immigration game. Imagine Europe in 50 yrs. Protect your society.
