Atheists: if you want to believe religion does more harm than good, and try to convince others of that, gfi. BUT:

If you're going to go around making those claims about Religion(TM) all you know is Christianity, you need to learn first.

Bc Christianity was DESIGNED to be culture-independent so it could spread easily. Most religions aren't that way.

So A) when you start talking about How Religion Works, you're showing your ass AND often being racist/xenophobic.

And until you actually KNOW enough to be able to criticize religious beliefs without shitting all over entire cultures, stfu.

If you, Midwestern atheist, want to go after the evangelical Christianity you were raised with, cool beans.
