Disagree. Not all homophobes want to kill gays either, but I'm not sure homophobia is as distinct from homophobes as Islam is from Muslims.

Have to agree with Ali, Germans who did nothing weren't Nazis. If you pick up an ideology like Nazism there is no 1/2 measure.

IMO it's better to think in terms of intent/ideology than actions. All Nazis believe in ethnic cleansing regardless of whether they act.

There's definitely a spectrum for the "alt-right". Skinhead movement got co-opted - see the British movie "This is England" - it's great!
