Traveling through California has been so amazing, but getting back to not being ostracized whenever I say 'eh' or 'sorry' is good too

I feel ppl from California have a mild accent. But hey, I'm nearly Canadian being from Detroit. :)
Over dinner and I said 'eh' and one of my friends literally stopped the convo and said, and I quote: "We don't say 'eh' in LA"
