Like ppl in N Korea, Muslims oppressed under Islamic theocracies were largely ignored in the past because their suffering didn't impact /1

our lives. But now Islam impacts all of us. Not equally, of course, but we're all feeling the effects. This is actually good news for ppl /2

living in Muslim majority countries whose suffering was largely ignored (minorities, women, LGBT, atheists or other non-Muslims). /3

Now ppl would see how oppressive it was for them, and naturally their allies(Ppl that value human rights, secularism, liberals) wld react /4

They never expected that their allies would actually support their oppressors instead. Trump and Saudi. Obama and Muslim Brotherhood. /5

Sorry for being nitpicky, but Obama didn't "support" Muslim Brotherhood. He had to respect outcome of election. But I understand your point.
