In Canada we allow Sikh students to carry knives, but not other students. Whether it's a kirpan or a niqab, religion over safety is wrong.

This ruling set the precedent for others to claim that niqab was a religious requirement (bullshit). It opens a dangerous door.

Now, in US, FGM is being defended as a 'religious requirement'. That's what happens when you open the door. You can't control what comes in.

The entire concept of "religious requirements" is highly dangerous. NO ideology's edicts should trump universal humanitarian protections.
