There's an assumption that the girl isn't being hurt w niqab, but she is w FGM or child marriage-that's a stupid assumption.

Not only is the girl in niqab being hurt, but the society at large is now in danger of criminals wearing a niqab to hide their identity.

This is a very common issue in Muslim majority countries (duh). And it didn't take Europeans long to clue in that it was a great loophole.

Ppl argue from a 'liberal' stance of 'you can't tell ppl what to wear' well, news flash: we already do. There are already laws re clothing.

That's the same as ppl saying: you can't tell them not to mutilate their daughters, it's their culture. You can't tell ppl what to do.

It's the same 'logic' that left me in an abusive home. The judge felt he couldn't tell ppl how to raise their children. It's culture.

And the argument is moot anyway because niqab is NOT ISLAMIC. It's like saying the KKK hood is Christian.
