      There are several interpretations of islamic law. None of them are against fgm. Peolple can dish out fatwas for anything.

      Male circumcision is also only mentioned in Hadith, you know. Hadith *is* primary Islamic text.

      Steve, Hadith are primary texts. Sharia is based on Quran and Sunnah. You want to 'defend' something? Defend these girls, not a religion.
