Thanks, but the thread just confirms that u don't think it's dishonest to make claim that Muhammad would condemn terrorists & Islamists

Dishonesty, mistaken, misinterpretation. Muhammad, "yo, go for it brothers", or "idiots that's not what I meant"? Who knows?

We can be certain mo was a fan of jihad, therefore he'd favour terrorist groups over even moderate form of Islam

1/ No we can't. He could object to how jihad is conducted. Refusing to acknowledge historical context is same as jihadists do. Can't move...

Yes, we can. Both by reading the 199 Hadith where he speaks of Jihad or by looking at his actions and how he was a Jihadi himself.

1/ Thanks, I'll check that, but I know it already. But think you all need to look at how reform happened in Christianity. It's long, gradual

Easier to justify peaceful interp of Christianity because of the NT. Jesus' character *mostly* loving & taught good deeds

2/ the Prophet is demonized. That's not asking for reform it's asking for rejection.

need to encourage condemnation of prophet's bad actions & teachings. Spreading misinformation will only lose trust & support of informed ppl

Ask ppl to focus on the good things he did. Make excuses based on 6th c vs 21st-plenty of ways to do it without attempting to change history

Serious question, what good things did he actually do? I found the Quran bereft of decent actions
