Legit Q tho: some women wear hijab bc their families & communities tell them it's a necessary condition for being respected or being a "good person", but shouldn't we make those women feel welcomed in our society too? Can making sure they feel represented NOT be endorsing hijab?

I'm an American woman, and I agree. There are some women in my country who are so breathlessly clueless and don't realize the damage they do when they stump for modesty clothing as if it's empowering.
