You must have misunderstood. I didnt compare it to religious brainwashing, I said it’s a specific example of religious brainwashing. 1. I'm not religious 2. Hadith validity depends largely on denominations, e.g. as a shia your taught that almost all hadith are made up by Sunnis 3. My issue is that Europeans have used this reasoning to invalidate the legitimate choice of those that wear it voluntarily.
I apologize if I came off as hostile but it's painful to remember how my mother was attacked for wearing it, growing up in Europe.
