I think they just lack knowledge. They have been told all immigrants are poor, good and nice people who need their help. It’s somekind of a sick and twisted power play thing western racist minded ”tolerants” play on us. There is a reason they like to watch Handsmaids Tale.
Bigotry of low expectations. All brown ppl are sweet little noble savages.

I doubt, it's some secretly underlying Freudian drive. It's pretty much (as said before) bigotry of low expectations - the almost eternal state of victimhood, which garners sympathy and makes it hard to criticize, so there's a lot agreeableness and indulgence.
