Perhaps, Emma, it is you who is misinformed. Arabic is my first language and Ive read the Quran more times than I can count. I’ve read all the Hadith I could stomach(theyre quite abhorrent). It doesn’t take a genius to understand words on a pg. If you read, you’ll also understand

I’ve also read it in Arabic. I’ve also studied historical context as well as a myriad of classical and contemporary Islamic scholars. Everyone has a different interpretation of the texts, and not everyone follows the same texts.

Good. Since you’re a scholar, then maybe you can go and convince all the Muslim majority countries that are following the ‘wrong’ Sharia to follow your ‘correct’ Sharia that is all about equality, inclusivity, and LGBT empowerment. Good luck.
