Of course. It would be great if everyone resisted. But game theory explains why they don’t. Those who stand up need special skills and immunities. Telling people: if you stand up, it all works out and you get to hang with the cool kids’ is untrue and unkind.
I actually disagree w this entirely. The only reason why it takes ‘special skills’ is precisely because so few ppl are speaking up, so it makes those of us who do more vulnerable. There’s strength in numbers. If we do all stand up then it will all work.
