I don’t have any Chilean students this yr, but I have students from Mexico, Venezuela and Ecuador...we spent about 30 mins of class talking about this (the day after Trudeau was voted back in)- they think it’s mastered by socialists/communists
My Venezuelan student disagreed w..she said that the Venezuelans in Chile fled there because they hate communism. Couldn’t be them. She thinks it’s ill informed Chileans who don’t understand the danger. Could be both. Could be some Venezuelans went to Chile to spread the ideology

All the Venezuelan economic migrants I know hate Chavez / Maduro, and most aren’t fans of the protests. But you’re right Maduro does have Venezuelan people here trying to spread propaganda. Venezuelan gov has invested millions into communist institutions in Chile. That’s a fact.
