      My very religious Jewish grandparents and great-grandparents - and all Jews of Mashhad, Iran - were forced to covert to Islam - or they’d be killed. So while very different, I felt a connection to your story and admire your bravery and tenacity. ❤️

      Many Mashhadi Jews now live in Queens and Long Island... Although my mom was born in England, moved to NYC, then Montreal where I was born. Yep, I’m a native Canadian, too ;)
