The police were dealing with the son and that should have been enough consequence for the family. The son made a mistake but death threats and hate is not a consequence anyone should suffer.

If they genuinely received such threats, absolutely it is to be condemned but at the moment there’s no proof any of it happened. Reacting to an allegation has too often turned out to mean you’ve been deceived.
