My opinion is that the reason the Left loves and defends Islam is because the Christian Right opposes Islam, and the Left opposes the Christian Right. It's basically a kind of defiance against Christianity.
I agree, but if only they’d stay w that thought for 4 seconds longer...WHY do they oppose Christianity? Every single one of the reasons why they oppose Christianity will be present in Islam as well (sometimes to a much greater degree).
Thanks for getting back to me. I agree, it's very ironic that the Left supports Islam when Islam opposes nearly all that the Left stands for, mostly human rights. Aristotle said that humans are primarily 'rational beings', but some modern philosophers disagree - they're EMOTIONAL
beings. I'm saying that the Left isn't being rational or logical, rather, its choices are based on emotion. In this case, negative and destructive emotion. It's basically a DEFENSE, an ego defense mechanism. Defensiveness of all kinds is rampant these days.
