The Quran has some beautiful poetry in it. Book of peace, on the whole, it is not. Same with a lot of the books in the Bible. Take the good...leave the bad.
“Beautiful poetry”...I’m willing to bet you’re not fluent in Arabic. That’s a line that’s repeated though there is no evidence of poetry in the actual Quran. Sure, it sounds nice when it’s being recited...like Monks chanting or an opera...if you don’t understand what’s being said

I see what you're saying. Beautiful meanings...thoughts? Intentions maybe. It all really depend on who did the translation of course. I enjoy Yusaf Ali's version. A lot more carrot than stick to we "Infidels".
