Why is it called ‘honour’ killing? There is nothing honourable about it! Let’s called it what it is, murder! STOP murdering in the false name of honour!
It’s called an honor killing because the women are killed to protect the family honor. It’s an important distinction to understand. It has specific earmarks that law enforcement need to be aware of so they can recognize it and therefore fight/prevent it.
