I was just trying to get some perspective. I am an Orthodox Jewish woman. We cover our hair after marriage as a married woman's hair is considered private. No one is forcing us to do so, just as no one is forcing us to dress modestly.or eat kosher.

Great. So it sounds like it’s your choice. If you notice in the tweet you were responding to, the author was repeatedly clarifying that it is not a choice. That’s the issue. That’s what we’re talking about. Sorry if I came off short-tempered,I just get that same question so often

I was in
#Swansea , UK, city centre yesterday and saw a young girl, no more than 4 years of age, wearing a black head covering. It was a hot, sunny day and there she was already shackled to that headscarf. Yeah, it's kind of a shocking question in the face of seeing acid burns on women who try to learn to read or severed limbs, or just plain Ole Death. It's astonishing how people can look at that and follow it up with, "yeah but...." Some things are beyond, "yeah but."
