This may be generally true of nearly any dogmatic ideology. Because they root themselves in dogma and superstition (or appeal to a authority) rather than science, they can only guide society away from truth and justice, except perhaps by occasional accident.

Right. But govts/ law enforcement are too fixated on body count to see the bigger picture. Islamic extremism gets a lot of attn because of high body count, while white nationalism gets less because of lower body count-but that’s inaccurate. It ignores the insidious dangers.

Interesting read. One of my closest friends is a first-generation Canadian (his dad is from Sicily) and we make this comparison a lot in our discussions-as I’m first generation too. There’s a huge disparity btwn how his family were socialized into conforming vs mine that were not
