I can only vaguely imagine how frustrating it is to see concealing clothing, mandated by religious leaders, regarded as "just someone else's culture". It's a cop-out that frees them of requiring nuanced knowledge of other cultures.

I guess like us she has never been hit in head or threatened with punishments like flogging, verbal abuse and humiliation to really realise what she is supporting.

TBH, all these celebs wants to be politically correct... @MileyCyrus herself knows she can't survive with that "hijab" thing, a day... But still preaches diversity(with hijab) , but hijab's making people islamophobic only.. they just wanna sound perfect.

I see it more as her brand acting as a corporation rather than an individual. Brand Miley targets a message at a specific market, then moves on to the next market with a different message. Integration of all messages is neither the purpose or required
