The guy is actually laying out pretty sound logic for why they instilled that penalty for apostasy. The irony is, he never realizes the absurdity of the whole thing.
I know. He’s like, well...you see, we have to hold them prisoner and kill them if they leave because if we don’t, then everyone will want to be free!
