You know how you feel guilty about something & you think about it periodically? My husband & I were in a furniture store in Qatar when the couch moved and I screamed! Turns out it was a niqabi on a black couch. I kept apologizing (but also nervously laughing-as was my husband)

Another time, we were leaving a restaurant at night. I opened the door to walk out, and the night darkness moved towards me-again I screamed 
It was a niqabi woman trying to get into the restaurant...

It was, but I feel bad because I know how it feels to wear that shit and to be so dehumanized that you actually scare ppl. I had kids scream and cry when they saw me too...run to their parents terrified...it feels awful.

I get so indescribably angry when I see a fully veiled woman, in the summertime, walking with her husband, who’s jauntily wearing flip-flops, shades, shorts and a V-neck. The constrast makes it seem so much more barbaric.

It’s so scary esp if it’s nighttime and dark ! I also remember once I was on a bus the light was flickering a niqabi woman got in. She was right in front of me . My heart skipped a beat. It was crazy
