My parents dont even realize the damage their restrictions have done to me.The isolation &sheltering,not allowing me to make friends or socialize &always telling me to shut up &stay silent has made me become so shy & socially awkward .I can barely speak to anyone w/o freezing up.
I feel this. But I promise: You will overcome. I was taken out of school for what would‘ve been Gr 9. I didnt socialize w a soul for a full yr. There was no social media, so it was complete isolation. The next year I made one friend. The year after that, a few more... Hang on xx

Oh I understand. I went to Islamic schools and didn’t know how to communicate/relate to nonMuslims. I had a unibrow, wore hijab, and fucking pants under my fucking dresses. The struggle is so painfully real
