Who wrote these laws, and when? I am obviously not well-versed on the Koran, But it seems some specific perverse thought went into these nonsensical provisions; I can’t see this being of a holy person.
Well, rape is not cited as a criminal offense-so Islamic scholars use laws around adultery. This law re adultery came about as the prophet’s wife was being accused of adultery and he didnt want to hear it, so he said that there must be 4 witnesses for it to be acceptable proof.
