Again.... You. Are. Privileged. Most girls are forced, whether by their government or by their families. You telling girls that are fighting for their freedom “Lol...but like, I’m free!” is stupid and heartless.
Imagine screaming "i'm a muslim but i'm free! Just dont listen to your family, whats so hard about it?" to 15 year old girl who forced to marry 50 year old men by her family, the audacity....
And will be murdered because she decided not to listen.
I think so many people don’t understand modesty/ rape culture. It’s not just being forced to veil with threats of violence. It’s knowing that you will become an pariah to your family, possibly disowned, etc. Do people think most veiled women choose this for themselves? No
