Essentially she’s saying parents don’t own their children. Your child is not a mini-me. We should not teach children what to think (as in to believe what we believe), but how to think (critical thinking skills). Allow them freedom to be their own selves etc

And she is a 100% correct... You can guide your children to what you think is the best way forward for them but ultimately they’re their own person and have to find their own way and make their own choices to enable them to have a happy and fulfilled future.
