I agree we should do that but I don't define communities by identity. My community isn't white people or women. It's liberals & secular humanists of all races and both sexes.

To some degree. Some communities we don't choose (family or neighbors that move in). But some communities are thrust upon us and the grey zone disappears (light skinned ethnicities become white, for example)
