There is a vast chasm of difference between ‘shutting ppl up’ and inviting a person to speak on one of the nation’s largest media platforms. This is not a free speech issue. And thank you, I love you too xx https://t.co/1FsAiyfu3i

But he also said “then come back and show us how it is done”. I understand your feeling, but seriously, this was just to say to 4 very irritating truth-distorting women, that they can pretend that they know so well, but that they would never succeed.

Sorry to intervene in the discussion, but let’s assume that all four women are liars and distort the truth, with that aside is Donald Trump as source of the truth? Is he a righteous man? Is send them back a solution? Or rather the questioning of the outrageous racist speeches?

It went to the next level yesterday with a crowd cheering. Despicable. The answer, they (incl trump) are all insincere and lying. “Everything” is coloured and “everybody” twists words. And he did say “then come back”. Btw like

The thing is it’s not only some moron who’s racist, it’stue president of the Us & his speeches resemble those of the KKK and the turmoil of racial violence based on such speeches can’t be controlled. Let alone being attributed to the political agenda of the president.

Honest question: don’t you think it will get worse, if we are not precise in quoting and news. For a lot of people is it a reason to go completely to one side and not be open for any reasoning. And that scares me big time. There is hardly an open discussion possible.

Hi Pascal et al, As I’ve said previously, I know the full quote...but my point is, his language conjured up the common narrative of ‘go back where you came from’ even if he didn’t say it explicitly-he shouldve been careful to never say anything even similar to such a common slur

Trump is under no illusion as to the effectiveness at getting his comments broadcast as far as possible if he plays to the media expectation of racism. In that regards, you can at least say he's consistent.

Indeed he is. But I truly believe the president of the United States should think as a showman? Don’t you think so?

Me personally? No I don't. I would desire for a man in his position to remind himself to carry the position and himself with more dignity. Though we are in an image driven world, powered by narratives and buzz words, Trump is a political product of the Twitter age.

I agree. And his many years in reality TV have prepared him. AOC and Co are the same thing on the other end. They’re using the same tactics.

This trend will continue until such a time that people in general value integrity and personal substance over point scoring and ad hominem. I don't see the puerile and short sighted nature of modern day politics and media hysteria ending soon.
