I am so grateful to have been born in Canada. I’m acutely aware of how much better my life is compared to if I had been born in either of my parents’ homelands. I love Canada and being Canadian. That’s why being told ‘go back to your country’ hurt so much. /1

For those not getting it: I don’t like any of the ‘squad’ and I will not defend their actions. That’s not the point of this rant. Trump could have criticized them without invoking racist sounding language. That is the issue here. He crossed the line. /6

The lines are all blurry. When both Trump and Pelosi get called racist in the same week...you might as well get Richard Fucking Spence on CNN because nobody knows where any lines are now anyway.

Most Republicans admire Richard Spencer. When Trump refused to condemn David Duke and called Charlottesville Nazis and Klansmen "fine people", he knew what the Republican base was. Richard Spencer speaks for almost all of today's Republican Party.

The Republicans I know in the US certainly do not like or admire Spencer. Not such a good thing to make such generalizations.
