When it comes to Iran, we need to be very clear that the people of Iran are held hostage by their brutal and vile government and religious class. The people of Iran are not our enemy. For the most part, they are wonderful people who deserve their rights and freedoms.

The people of Iran capriciously exchanged an authoritarian government which was moving toward freedom for a tyrannical theocracy bent on crushing all individual liberties and choices. It was Russia 1917 all over again, only worse. Islam yn ddrwg.

And like in the Soviet Union, once that tyranny is established it is very difficult to shake. Religious tyranny is worse than Marxism because of the guilt they throw at people. I’m a Christian, but I also believe in freedom of thought. Islam requires tyranny and uniformity.
