It’s not religious, but political and used to control women. Forced on women from religions other than Islam as well. Wearing symbols of hate and patriarchy has nothing to do with human rights. Standing by something that eastern feminists are fighting against is disgusting.

Malala is an admirable person. She has every right to wear whatever she wants. And Quebec has every right to make laws to protect secularism. She does not have the right to a teaching job. They do not have the right to force her to remove it. Life is not black and white.
