Well said. I'm a former American soldier who deployed to the Middle East. The oppression of women gripped at my heart. Came out as an Atheist, from war. My fiancé is Muslima. She wears hijab, but not always. Should be her choice anyways.

They are. After Iraq, I discovered true empathy. Dated 4 Muslimas all from different countries thereafter. She's Indonesian, and they're far more moderate. Love shouldn't be restricted by culture /tribe/beliefs. We're all human. We must be the change we hope to see.
