Of course some women choose to oppress themselves and partake in their own subjugation because they want to please their families/ God...theyre not our concern. We are concerned w and support the countless women forced to wear it- women who do NOT want to perpetuate rape culture.
I am not Muslim but living in a heavily Muslim populated area. The first thing our babysitter did when she came over and take off her head scarf. She does not like it but she has to wear because of her family and I'm sure there are a lot of girls like that here and in other areas
Yes, there absolutely are. They act as if we are a different species. Women in the West scream to have the right to wear whatever they want, what makes them think women with darker skin would be any different? OF COURSE no one wants to be told to wrap themselves up like a mummy.
