Im sorry about your mother. Some people abuse and use religion as an excuse. Theres never ever an excuse for abuse. It just shows how weak the oppressor is. But why take it out on a whole religion when you should take it out with the oppressor who abused you?
My mother is not an oppressor, she is a devout believer. She’s a graduate of Al Azhar university. Countless girls are suffering under Islam daily. My mother is not the source of their suffering—the religion is. I fight with those girls because I wish I had someone to fight w me.
