Are women genuinely the only ones to get this 'smile' treatment though? I'm unfortunate enough to look like I'm miserable when my face is at rest. It is jarring to realize that some men do think that you exist so that they have something nice to look at. That is true. After having my second daughter, I gained a lot of baby weight and men at work would actually tell me they wished I’d lose it so that I could be their eye...
...candy again. They said it like they meant it as a compliment. Sometimes I think I never lost it cuz of that experience. As well, suddenly women at work were nicer to me. Women that ignored me before said good morning to me now...so both men and women can be shallow and weird.
