I'm an atheist, so I have no allegiance to either man or either religion...but honestly...just objectively, ppl MUST realize that the two men were very different.

Really enjoyed hearing @JohnCleese tell us Why There Is No Hope...hilarious and thought-provoking.
But I was irritated at how he kept mentioning Jesus and Mohammad interchangeably. They were VERY different men. Yes, they both inspired a religion, but that's the only similarity.

My question is this: if truly they both believe this, why can’t they just merge? They spend so much time fighting one another, pointing out how wrong the others are, trying to proselytise to the other etc. They know their gods are not the same

As a Christian I get this so often. It's frustrating. And when I explain the huge difference between the two I'm told I'm islamaphobic. So apparently it's totally fine if you hate both, but bigotry if you can explain the differences.
