A mother daughter bond is meant to be so unique, but so often has been tarnished by religious values.

It is very hard to understand why someone is like that. Your mom was raised that way. She didn’t know any other way. If possible, please try to understand her.

Sunil, please don’t take offense because I like you and I don’t want to offend you, but BITCH PLEASE! When ppl are in a toxic, abusive relationship that is incredibly unhealthy you should not tell them to try to understand their abuser. It’s so unfair that ppl say this.

Not offended at all. I just gave my opinion and a sincere suggestion. That’s all.

I know my mom was depressed and had her issues, but I have had a difficult life as well. Many of us have. It is no excuse for abusing your children.

Yasmine, I am not disagreeing with you at all. You are my favorite reformer and women’s rights advocate. I respect you so much.

It’s ok if you do! But I’m just chatting-not necessarily a disagreement
