Nope, an Arab can’t be a Jew, unless he or she converts, at which point he or she will no longer be an Arab.

You are not the only Ashkenazi who knows nothing about the Sephardic or Mizrachi experience. Ashkenazi jews did not share cultural traditions with their non-Jewish neighbours but Sephardic and Mizrachi Jews did and that is how we have Arab and Persian Jews.
