This is something I cannot relate to. I was raised religious, in a religious environment + only went to religious schools but indoctrination just never worked on me. I never felt any peace-it’s incredibly anxiety promoting because Allah is not just..he’s fickle af. Ppl can be good their whole life, but miss a prayer and *bam* now theyll burn for eternity. Or a rapist and murderer can say the shahada 10 seconds before he dies and go to Heaven.

I think the justice is a platitude and we want to believe in it when we're religious... yet we see the world doesn't work this way and we come to realise that our definition of "justice" under religion is actually very biased. That's a big problem for me now.
