But where do you draw the line? I am 100% pro-vaccine and shame everybody I know into getting the flu shot. The flu kills 15-25,000 Americans every year. Even in years with a poor 10% efficacy rate, mandatory flu shots would save thousands of lives. Why not mandate them?
I think that’s different because you’re only hurting yourself w the flu. Like, you can drink yourself to death if you want, but you can’t drink and drive because you’re putting others at risk.

But it is contagious. It is why most hospitals require all their staff to get them. You don't get the flu shot just for you, but for any young, old, or immuno-compromised people you come in contact with, who could die thanks to you spreading the flu.

I don't judge or shame people who don't get the flu shot, by the way, but the logic behind it is nearly identical to the overall anti-vaxx movement.
