First of all, calm down Fred. It’s not that outlandish to oppose forcible injections by the state. Especially since the Nazis did it, while the community refusing vaccinations in Brooklyn NYC today are Jews. Emma: consent here is a legal doctrine: so parent’s consent suffices
I get that there’s a historical reason why this would be extra triggering, but at the end of the day, the safety of the masses is paramount.

But where do you draw the line? I am 100% pro-vaccine and shame everybody I know into getting the flu shot. The flu kills 15-25,000 Americans every year. Even in years with a poor 10% efficacy rate, mandatory flu shots would save thousands of lives. Why not mandate them?

I think that’s different because you’re only hurting yourself w the flu. Like, you can drink yourself to death if you want, but you can’t drink and drive because you’re putting others at risk.

I think, as Maajid put it - the focus can be on all other means of pushing for Vaccinations.

Those other means are in place in many societies and anti vaxxers tend to be fanatical.. so they won’t compromise. Then what? More important to risk their child and others’ lives?

I understand that it may seem totalitarian however a child’s safety should be of the utmost importance. The reality is the state mandates school for a child and medical car. Neglect is abuse and I think not vaccinating your child is neglect.
