Using dehumanizing language when referring to early fetuses won’t help the pro-choice cause. It’ll just make pro-lifers think you’re a monster. For example, it’s a lot more than a “clump of cells” to a woman who’s been trying to get pregnant for three years.

Would you say to a woman who lost a baby at 7 weeks, like I did. “Oh, no big deal. It was just a clump of cells. Move on.”

I don’t even think that’s wise to say to a woman who chose to end a pregnancy. They still deserve to mourn the difficult choice they had to make.

Totally agree. I had a missed miscarriage in the first trimester and I mourned the death of that baby. I’m pro-choice, but I’m not a heartless monster. There’s no need to be so extreme. Technically, we’re all clumps of cells.
