Terrorism is a catalyst for what ever people's pet issue. Terrorism occurs, and conveniently politicians and activists say "Oh, we it happened because of this thing I don't like, so let's just implement my policy! because you know... security!"

When Islamists give us their reasons for indulging in terror and mayhem - the response form some is always: " Oh this is just for show rhetoric its REALLY about (insert pet project here)" Never trust people who think they can better articulate what other people are thinking.
