Why aren’t their children ‘pure’ enough to still be part of the tribe? Why can’t they be accepted and ADD to that 12M? Because they’re tainted w non-Jew blood? Do you see how that’s a stance that should be criticized? It’s not immune from criticism because its religious.

Reform Jews have moved beyond that archaic thinking because they’ve recognized how it is wrong for many reasons. Hopefully Ben will realize that too. And even if he doesn’t, it’s not going to stop all of us from responding and criticizing it.

This is standard operating procedure in Orthodox Judaism, with *very* few exceptions. This is exactly what my family said and did to me when I married a non-Jew.
