If religious ppl say things like: I wont go to a wedding for a gay couple or an inter-religious couple-even if it’s in my family-do those ppl have a leg to stand on when ppl reciprocate by being intolerant to their religions? Why is it only ok for the religious to be intolerant?

Tolerance works both ways, all ways. If you want ppl to respect who you are and your beliefs and value system, then you are obligated to do the same. You can’t demand tolerance while practicing intolerance.
