The point is that intolerance is not even correct here. He does not recognize the sanctity of the event. Is he required to go? He is being tolerant by not trying to prevent it from happening, and more so because he remains friends with the guy.

Not liking my choices and not tolerating them are two entirely separate things. Choosing not to participate in them is also something different.

You so missed the point.

Just because he’s unwilling to accept other people’s views doesn’t mean he doesn’t accept them as humans. He’s exercising he’s individual right to not participate in a gay marriage. He also doesn’t care about how you feel on his position of this issue.

I don't see where you're wrong. Unless you have stated government action taken to force Ben to act in certain way, it's a discussion of the reverence point for God or Man. That's a legitimate question. But can state, if that's too personal.
