If religious ppl say things like: I wont go to a wedding for a gay couple or an inter-religious couple-even if it’s in my family-do those ppl have a leg to stand on when ppl reciprocate by being intolerant to their religions? Why is it only ok for the religious to be intolerant?

Bigotry: Saying “homosexual relations are evil” Not bigotry: Saying “Christian teachings on homosexual relations are evil” (I’m not ascribing to these views, but they seem to be yours.)

2/2. Due to their religious beliefs. Again, live and let live. I think the world would be much simpler if people had more empathy. I'm not religious or gay. But I can understand and empathize with both sides.

I also have to add that there are absolutely religious people who are bigots against all kinds of other lifestyles. As there are people who are bigots against religious people just because they are religious. But again, empathy would go a long ways for these people.

How do you know this??? Ben has had Dave’s family to dinner, including his husband, they are friends! Ben is not bigoted in any way at all. It simply comes down to don’t force your crap on me and I won’t force my crap on you.

My friend converted to be a Mormon in high school and got married in the Mormon temple (her parents could not attend the wedding) No one was offended by the religious traditions of the Mormon church- it was not bigotry and neither is what Ben did-it’s just following his beliefs
